Welcome

The building that homes the Stables Bar and Grill was originally built in 1925 as the Karipiro Power Board office, it was revamped in 1992 to be established as a wine bar and has been premise to several restaurants since.
The site was redeveloped in 2008 to be a Speight’s branded venture following along the lines of the Ale house concept.
There was a major change to the interior which has opened up the area to give a freer flowing environment with three bars, garden bar, gaming room, dining area, V.I.P. private dining and large function facility which also has the biggest screen in town for all live sport viewing. Every area has its own T.V with multi channel viewing so no sport is ever missed.
The Stables name comes from the heavy influence that Cambridge has within the horsing industry and surrounding districts and also the fact that originally the site itself was once used as a stables in the Cambridge Township before the introduction of the motor vehicle.
The Stables prides itself on the Steakhouse/ Grill type menu.
So far the reaction has been better than expected, and the customers love the casual yet quality dishes and pricing that ensues.
The front of house team focuses on interaction with the guests as opposed to just service over the bar. We want the customers to be welcomed and want to come back for the friendly atmosphere.
Whether it’s dining by the open fire or chilling out with a beer by the waterfall, the Stables Bar and Grill appeals to everyone, come meet the friendly team at 72 Alpha Street, Cambridge
